AKSHAYA HOME
1.Background
In Madurai, hundreds of mentally ill / old abandoned men and women live and die in roads without any shelter. Some women are harassed by unscrupulous anti-social elements.
Akshaya is building a shelter to provide these uncared for destitute a
- safe / centralised place for the uncared
- environment for rehabilitation where possible
- peaceful place for the abandoned elderly people in their last days
This project is a new initiative for the neglected people in distress

2.74 acres of land purchased and registered
Panchayat approval for Home plan obtained
Site formation, roads, bore well work done
Electricity connection obtained

Sponsorship obtained: 10,000 Sq.ft
Sponsorship needed: 14,000 Sq.ft
